Social Media Money

Social Media influencers across all platforms spend all day creating content for their followers. They have turned social media into their way of life and how they essentially provide for themselves. In their videos, pictures, posts, etc. you can see them living a luxurious lifestyle from making videos all day. These influencers have monetized the following they have through social media. The big three monetizable social media platforms are Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok

The big three social media platforms

Instagram:

  1. Influencer: Posting Content sponsored by brands. Brands will pay based on number of followers $800 - 1500 for 25-50k followers. $1500 – 2000 for 50 – 100k followers. The increments keep increasing as the amount listed is the amount the brand will pay for each sponsored post. With the famous Kylie Jenner making around $1.2 MILLION per post with 141 million followers.

  2. Affiliate Marketer: Influencers can also sell products not just advertise them. A lot of these brands will provide them with a promo code to give out for whatever product they are selling and give the influencer a commission for each sale of that item.

  3. Entrepreneur: An influencer who has amassed a large following can simply begin selling their own products to their followers.

YouTube:

  1. YouTube Partner: To become a YouTube partner, they must get a minimum of 4,000 video watch hours and have 1,000 subscribers. A partner can have ads in their videos which they can make money from those ads. Ad revenue on average is $1 for every 1,000 views.

  2. Product Placements: A YouTube can simply make a short mention or go into detail about a product and that company will pay them from about $20 to $50 for every couple thousand views.

  3. Affiliate: Just like from Instagram a YouTuber can use affiliate links to send subscribers to products that can be purchased, and that YouTuber can be paid a commission per sale. Amazon is a company that has YouTube affiliates and Amazon gives an 8-10% commission for each sale that used the affiliate link.

Lastly TikTok:

  1. TikTok has live sessions where followers can give gifts which turn into diamonds that go directly into a PayPal account.

  2. Similarly, to Instagram and YouTube companies can pay influencers to showcase and advertise their products and pay them for the number of followers and/or views.

  3. Companies can also pay influencers to create videos for the companies TikTok account. Loren Gray who is an influencer on TikTok made $2.6 MILLION because she has a Revlon deal where
she creates videos for them and makes her own sponsored posts.

  4. As a lot of the most popular influencers on TikTok get a high following they can begin to sell their own products and advertise them to their followers.
The many titles influencers  can possibly have
